The NIHU International Prize in Japanese Studies 2022

The fourth NIHU International Prize in Japanese Studies was awarded to Dr. Josef Kreiner, Professor Emeritus of University of Bonn/Visiting Researcher of Hosei University Research Center for International Japanese Studies. The awards ceremony and commemorative lecture took place on 20 January 2023.

The NIHU International Prize in Japanese Studies 2021

The third NIHU International Prize in Japanese Studies was awarded to Dr. Jean-Noël Robert, Professor of Collège de France. The awards ceremony was held online on July 21, 2022. At the ceremony, Professor Robert gave a lecture entitled “The Far Side of Language : Hieroglossia in Japanese Culture/L’au-delà des mots : Hiéroglossie de la civilisation japonaise”.

The awards ceremony of the 2020 NIHU International Prize in Japanese Studies was held online on June 10, 2021. At the ceremony, Professor Gordon gave a lecture entitled “The Excitement of History and Responsibility of Historical Studies".
